Ceremonies

Acolyte Induction Process

Lesser understood, is that now and again an aspirational outsider that comes along that these creatures seem to take a great interest in. Those so willing to offer themselves, willingly smeared and lacquered in that ichorous substance that stain the landscape by the creatures. Blotting out any vestige of their outworn anatomy. A similar inky visage of these lagomorphs now donned, functionally not unfamiliar to the rest of them. Those questioned after those ceremonies seem to take some time to adjust, a rambling mess, incoherent and non-linear in thought. Speaking of "the passing of eyes unopened". Once more cognisant, they now seem to share the same compulsions of the others - to maintain the environs and their contents. A peculiar side-effect of note would be that they seem to be aware of the archives content, or at least some of it, even taking interest in topics and themes not previously entertained by them pre-induction.

Long-tem Effect of the Ceremony

One curious case was observed during one situation; that an aspirant - previously swaddled in ink for some unbeknown period of time had received a rather fatal case of damage; When a precarious bookcase from the archive fell on them after an alteration (a rather blunt visitor of demeanour and intellect, took offence to several corrections of their work by the creature). Yet as they were met with such weight they rather unpleasantly and audibly splattered across the floor, only to reform, after a moment of discombobulation. This event shed some light on those claimed by these creatures and this realm: to those agreeable to such ink eventually will shed any previous notions of flesh that ichor buried under itself - indistinguishable from any of the other that inhabit this realm.

Alternative Processes

Most reports of alternatives are few and far between; without the pomp and pageantry of a fully spectated ceremony - what happens in the corners of the realms, where no one else could hope to commentate; Makes this next session difficult to discuss. Whilst not so often discussed, due to many visitor's constitution, it has been heard that this process can be... expedited... with an application of a pre-existing entity, as opposed to raw unfiltered ink. Though the outcome is uncertain as to what results of this co-habitation. Who or what comes of this is unclear, though it's certain anything resembling solid flesh has completely been reduced down.
